This book can also be used as an auxiliary workbook in a CAE or Finite Element Analysis course for undergraduate students. Each book comes with a disc containing video demonstrations, a quick introduction to SolidWorks eBook, and all the part files used in the book.
This textbook has been carefully developed with the understanding that CAE software has developed to a point that it can be used as a tool to aid students in learning engineering ideas, concepts and even formulas. These concepts are demonstrated in each section of this book. Using the graphics-based tools of SolidWorks Simulation can help reduce the dependency on mathematics to teach these concepts substantially. The contents of this book have been written to match the contents of most mechanics of materials textbooks.
There are 11 chapters in this book. Each chapter contains two sections. Each section is designed for a student to follow the exact steps in that section and learn a concept or topic of Engineering Dynamics. Typically, each section takes 20-40 minutes to complete the exercises.

畢業派對超嗨！下秒驚傳槍響300人逃命至少1死8傷
美國阿拉巴馬州的艾斯康比亞縣高中(Escambia County High School)近日有畢業校友、學生們在一棟大樓舉辦畢業派對，卻突然驚傳槍響，好康平台發燒好康嚇得參加派對的300人慌張逃命，而當天共造成至少1人死亡及8人受傷的悲劇，目前兇手仍在逃亡中。
綜合外媒報導，當地警方18日凌晨接獲通報指出，當地一處建築物有槍擊事件，警方緊急抵達現場時，還不斷聽到槍聲，大批學生驚恐逃亡，現場一片混亂，員警見狀也協助群眾逃離，隨後也在大樓內的自助餐廳，發現一名遭槍擊的死亡男性。
警方調查，艾斯康比亞縣高中當時正在此處舉辦畢業派對，有目擊者表示，當時看見2名女性發生肢體衝突，其他人幫忙將2人分開時，卻突然聽到槍聲，有人因此被擊中；隨後嫌犯逃往停車場後，再次向群眾開槍，當天共造成1人死亡、8人受傷，傷者也被送往醫院治療。
當地警局局長布魯克斯(Chuck Brooks)受訪表示，這場派對共有附近數個縣約300至500人參加，其中一名傷勢最嚴重的病患，已經用直升機將他自社區醫院轉自佛羅里達州彭薩科拉的聖心醫院，接受更完善的治療；至於槍擊案的調查狀況，局長則表示，目前已裁定為他殺，仍在蒐集相關證據。
